Door to door awareness program in Mandar block: DALSA

 


Ranchi: As per the instructions of JHALSA, the District Legal Services Authority Ranchi organized the Legal Services at Your Doorstep program in Mandar block. LADC Deputy Chief, Rajesh Kumar Sinha, PLV Suman Thakur, Pammi Devi, Renu Devi, Mohd. Shamim Ansari, Tulib Ansari, Soni Kumari, Vinita Kumari, Kulindra Gop and Raja Verma were present in the program. Rajesh Kumar Sinha and the working PLV of DALSA made people aware about witch-hunting and child marriage in Mandar block.

     Rajesh Kumar Sinha said in his address that witch-hunting is a superstition, calling any woman a witch, beating her, killing her and torturing her is a crime under the law. While discussing about child marriage, he said that all parents should marry their daughters even after 18 years. He gave information about the rights and duties of children.

      Rajesh Kumar Sinha gave information about the facilities available from District Legal Services Authority, Ranchi, while PLV Suman Thakur gave information about Lok Adalat and victim compensation. He further said that undertrial prisoners and people of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories are given free legal aid by DALSA to fight cases and defend themselves. Villagers were informed about getting compensation in motor accidents.

         PLV Suman Thakur and Pammi Devi of DALSA also gave information about filing pre-litigation cases, widow, old age pension, registration of unorganized laborers, Golden Card of Ayushman Bharat Yojana, toilet cleanliness.

     It should also be known that people were also informed about the upcoming National Lok Adalat which will be held on May 10 by Rajesh Kumar Sinha and PLV.
