Railway's big gift for RRB exams: Ranchi Division will operate 60-trip exam special trains.
Special trains will run between Rourkela-Ramgarh Cantt and Ranchi-Sabour, with benefits available from August 3 to 22.

Keeping in mind the convenience of candidates appearing for the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) exams, the Ranchi Division of South Eastern Railway has announced the operation of two pairs of exam special trains. A total of 60 special trains will operate between August 3 and August 22, 2026, to manage the extra rush and ensure timely arrival of candidates to the exam centers.
According to the Railways, the first pair, 08183/08184, will operate as Rourkela-Ramgarh Cantt-Rourkela exam special trains. Train number 08183 will operate from Rourkela, running 15 trips from August 3 to 6, August 9 to 14, and August 17 to 21. This train will depart from Rourkela at 8:30 pm and reach Ramgarh Cantt at 2:15 am via Bano, Hatia, Ranchi, and Muri.
On the return journey, train number 08184 will run 15 trips from Ramgarh Cantt from August 4 to 7, August 10 to 15, and August 18 to 22. This train will depart from Ramgarh Cantt at 5:15 am and reach Rourkela at 11:30 am via Muri, Ranchi, Hatia, and Bano. This train will have 18 coaches, including 2 SLRD, 2 general class, and 14 second class sleeper coaches.
The second pair, 08601/08602, will operate as Ranchi-Sabour-Ranchi Exam Special. Train number 08601 will run 15 trips from Ranchi from August 3 to 6, August 9 to 14, and August 17 to 21. This train will depart from Ranchi at 7:00 pm and reach Sabour at 8:00 am via Barkakana, Hazaribagh Town, Koderma, Tilaiya, Nawada, Warisaliganj, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Kiul, Abhaypur, Jamalpur, Sultanganj, and Bhagalpur.
On the return journey, train number 08602 will run a total of 15 trips from Sabour from August 4 to 7, August 10 to 15, and August 18 to 22. This train will depart from Sabour at 9:50 am and reach Ranchi at 10:45 pm via Bhagalpur, Sultanganj, Jamalpur, Kiul, Sheikhpura, Nawada, Koderma, Hazaribagh Town, and Barkakana. This train will have 14 coaches, including 2 SLRD, 2 general class, and 10 second class sleeper coaches.
