“Police-Student Interaction Program: Over 500 NCC Cadets Sensitized on Traffic Rules, Cyber Security, and Drug Awareness”

Ranchi: Under the ongoing Police-Student Interaction Program—conducted in accordance with the directives of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Ranchi—the Ranchi Traffic Police organized a training camp at Manan Vidya Mandir School, where over 500 NCC cadets were sensitized on various key issues.

During the program, students were apprised of the duties and responsibilities of the police and were encouraged to become disciplined citizens. The Traffic Police conducted a special awareness drive focusing on the use of helmets and seat belts, adherence to traffic signals, the dangers of overspeeding, and the prohibition of vehicle operation by minors.

Additionally, students were educated on the adverse effects of substance abuse and the inherent dangers of "drink and drive" incidents. Essential advice was also provided regarding women's safety, self-defense, and the importance of respectful conduct.

The program also included awareness sessions on the safe use of social media, protection against online fraud, and the importance of refraining from sharing personal information. Furthermore, details regarding emergency contact numbers—including Police Helpline 100/112, Cyber Helpline 1930, and Ambulance Service 102—were shared with the students.

The Ranchi Traffic Police has appealed to citizens to strictly adhere to traffic rules and to cooperate with the police in maintaining a safe and orderly road environment.
