Amit Shah inaugurates exhibition on new criminal laws in Siliguri
Siliguri, August 21: Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated an exhibition on the three new criminal laws in Siliguri, West Bengal. He said the new laws will make the justice system faster, transparent and victim-centric through technology.
Shah highlighted provisions such as e-FIR, Zero FIR, mandatory forensic investigation and acceptance of electronic evidence. He said these measures will help reduce delays and ensure timely justice.
He also said the government is taking steps to curb corruption, syndicates and illegal toll collection in West Bengal. Shah stressed that the new system aims to strengthen the rule of law and provide greater security and confidence to citizens.
