Massive Crowds Flock to Mega Trade Fair; Spirited Shopping Amidst Exciting Offers
Ranchi, April 5, 2026: A massive crowd thronged the venue on Sunday—just prior to its conclusion—at the 17th India International Mega Trade Fair held at Morabadi Ground. Owing to the holiday, long queues of visitors were visible starting from the afternoon, and the shopping spree continued late into the night. Attractive discounts on a diverse range of products—including handicrafts, furniture, Khadi apparel, and kitchenware—proved to be a major draw for the visitors. Union Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, remarked that such fairs serve to strengthen the economy and announced that a 'Swadeshi Mela' (Indigenous Fair) would soon be organized in Ranchi. Chamber President Aditya Malhotra described the event as a defining feature of the city's identity. Additionally, a "Mom and Kids Fashion Show" added a vibrant cultural flair to the proceedings.
