BJP to Hold Massive Protest March in Ranchi on April 25 Against Opposition to Women's Reservation Bill
Ranchi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a major protest march in Ranchi on April 25 to condemn the stance of the Congress party and the INDI alliance regarding the Women's Reservation Bill in Parliament. The decision was finalized during a high-level meeting at the BJP state office under the leadership of the State President.
Key Details of the Protest March:
* Route: The march will commence from Morhabadi Ground and proceed toward Main Road.
* Participation: Thousands of women from Ranchi Metropolis, Ranchi East, Ranchi West, Ramgarh, Khunti, and Lohardaga districts are expected to join the demonstration.
Attack on Congress and Alliances:
State President and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu launched a sharp critique against the opposition, stating that their resistance to the bill is a grave injustice to the women of India. His key points included:
* Anti-Women History: Sahu alleged that Congress has a long history of suppressing women's power. He cited the Shah Bano case, the opposition to the Triple Talaq law, and the disrespect shown toward the President of India as examples of this mindset.
* Focus on Dynasty: He claimed that the Congress party does not want to see any woman progress in politics unless they belong to the Gandhi family.
* Nationwide Outrage: The State President noted that there is widespread anger among women across the country due to the opposition’s character, and the April 25 march will serve as a platform for this collective voice.
The meeting was attended by senior leaders including Organization General Secretary Karmaveer Singh, State Vice Presidents Neelkanth Singh Munda, Geeta Kora, and Bhanu Pratap Shahi, along with MLAs CP Singh and Naveen Jaiswal, and district presidents from all six concerned regions.
