Major Preparations by Municipal Corporation for Sarhul and Eid Festivals; Administrator Conducts Ground Inspection
Ranchi: In view of the upcoming Sarhul and Eid festivals in the capital city, the Ranchi Municipal Corporation has intensified its preparations. Administrator Sushant Gaurav, accompanied by officials, inspected key *Akhadas* (traditional assembly grounds), *Sarna* sites, and mosques across the city to review the arrangements. During this tour, several locations were visited, including Hatma, Karam Toli, Siram Toli, and the Ekra Mosque situated near Ratan Talkies Chowk.
During the inspection, the Administrator interacted with the organizing committees and local residents to understand their requirements, subsequently directing officials to ensure the timely completion of all assigned tasks. He emphasized that cleanliness, security, and overall orderliness must be ensured throughout the city during both festivals, under all circumstances.
Specifically for Sarhul, special cleaning drives are being conducted at *Akhadas* and *Sarna* sites; additionally, water is being sprinkled along procession routes, lighting arrangements are being set up, trees are being pruned, and anti-larval insecticides are being sprayed. Meanwhile, for Eid, special emphasis has been placed on sanitation around mosques and *Eidgahs*, including the cleaning of drains and the efficient collection of waste.
Various branches of the Municipal Corporation are currently operating in full swing. Sanitation drives have been carried out at hundreds of locations, a large workforce of sanitation workers has been deployed, and arrangements are being made for water tankers, power generators, and high-mast lighting systems. The Corporation's control room will remain operational 24 hours a day.
