Deputy Commissioner Issues Key Directives to Mukhiyas at 'Panchayat Kar Goith' Program
Lohardaga: During the 27th 'Panchayat Kar Goith' (Village Council Interaction) program, organized by the District Administration, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Tarachand held discussions with the Mukhiyas (village heads) on various issues and issued necessary directives. He emphasized that during the upcoming festivals, all panchayats should set an exemplary standard of mutual harmony and brotherhood, and that any untoward incident must be reported to the administration immediately. Declaring opium cultivation to be illegal, the Deputy Commissioner warned of strict action against it and urged the Mukhiyas to raise public awareness regarding de-addiction. Furthermore, he advised farmers to begin planning immediately for the upcoming Kharif crop season and to sell their paddy at designated paddy procurement centers. He also called for the immediate reporting to the administration of social evils such as child marriage, witch-hunting practices, and domestic violence.
