Appointment Letters Issued to 76 Doctors on World TB Day; Goal Set for a TB-Free Jharkhand by 2030


On the occasion of World TB Day, the National Health Mission, Jharkhand, organized an appointment letter distribution ceremony at the IPH Auditorium in Namkum, Ranchi. During the event, Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari handed over appointment letters to 76 contract-based medical officers. He remarked that the contribution of doctors to society is invaluable and that their services are remembered for a lifetime. The State Government is continuously striving to strengthen healthcare services.


The Minister further informed that 1,250 doctors would soon be recruited through the JPSC. Additionally, work is underway regarding the expansion of medical colleges in the state, ensuring the availability of modern facilities such as CT scans and MRIs, and establishing a medical university.


Additional Chief Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh stated that a target has been set to screen 1.2 million people for TB this year. Special campaigns are being conducted for TB eradication with the aim of achieving a TB-free Jharkhand by the year 2030.
