Police conduct flag march in Ranchi ahead of civic elections, security tightened
Ranchi District Police is fully prepared for the 2026 Jharkhand Municipal Elections. Under the leadership of the Superintendent of Police, Rural Superintendent of Police, SDM Ranchi, and Deputy Superintendent of Police, a flag march was conducted in several police station areas, including Lalpur, Kotwali, and Lower Bazaar. The objective is to maintain peace and harmony during the elections, instill confidence in the public, and prepare for emergencies. During the survey, sensitive areas were reviewed and necessary guidelines were issued to deployed forces. The police have appealed to citizens to immediately report any suspicious activity and to participate fearlessly in the voting process.
