International Democracy Conference concludes with Delhi Declaration 2026; 5 pillars established for election management
New Delhi: The three-day 'IICDEM 2026' conference, organized by the Election Commission of India (ECI), concluded today with the adoption of the 'Delhi Declaration'. In the presence of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, election bodies from 42 countries pledged to collaborate on five key pillars, including voter list accuracy, the use of technology, and capacity building.
On this occasion, the digital platform 'ECINET' was launched, and an agreement was reached to create an 'Encyclopedia of World Democracies'. More than 40 bilateral meetings were held during the conference, which will prove to be a milestone in strengthening global electoral standards.
