BJP Pays Floral Tribute to Birsa Munda on His 150th Birth Anniversary

East Singhbhum, 15 November (HS).
The 150th birth anniversary of freedom icon and Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda was observed as Janajatiya Gaurav Diwas by BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar. On Saturday, party leaders and workers, led by BJP Jamshedpur Mahanagar President Sudhanshu Ojha, offered floral tributes at the statue of Birsa Munda located at Sakchi roundabout.


Senior BJP Leaders Attend Tribute Ceremony

The event saw the participation of former Jharkhand BJP State President Dr. Dineshanand Goswami, State Minister Nandji Prasad, State Spokesperson Amarpreet Singh Kale, ST Morcha National Working Committee member Ramesh Hansda and several other party leaders.
BJP workers raised slogans like “Birsa Munda Amar Rahe” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, remembering his sacrifices and contributions to the nation.


Birsa Munda’s Life: A Symbol of Courage and Revolutionary Spirit

Speaking on the occasion, former State President Dr. Dineshanand Goswami paid homage and said that Bhagwan Birsa Munda remains an ideal for the youth. He added that Birsa Munda united the young generation and led an armed resistance against British rule, leaving behind a legacy of struggle, leadership and patriotism that continues to inspire millions.


‘Birsa Munda Strengthened Tribal Identity’: Sudhanshu Ojha

Mahanagar President Sudhanshu Ojha said that Birsa Munda was a symbol of courage and strength. Despite a short lifespan of just 25 years, he ignited a spirit of Swadeshi and cultural pride among the tribal communities.
He also recalled the significant role of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the formation of Jharkhand, extending his wishes to the people on the state’s Foundation Day.

The programme witnessed the presence of former District President Devendra Singh, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Binod Singh, Jatashankar Pandey, Zila Parishad member Kusum Purti, Sanjeev Sinha, Babua Singh, Renu Sharma, Anil Modi, Ramesh Baske and numerous BJP workers.
