Jharkhand’s 25th Foundation Day Celebrated with Cultural Events and Asset Distribution

East Singhbhum, 15 November:

The 25th Foundation Day of Jharkhand was celebrated with grandeur at Sidgora Town Hall on Saturday, where a district-level ceremony was organised. A large number of public representatives, officials, employees and citizens participated in the event. The programme began with floral tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his birth anniversary, followed by traditional music that filled the venue with festive spirit

Birsa Munda’s Life Story Staged Through Powerful Theatrical Performance

One of the most captivating moments of the event was a drama based on the life journey of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The play showcased his leadership, struggle and message of social awakening. Artists from the Santhali community presented cultural performances that enthralled the audience and highlighted the rich tribal heritage of the region.

Recognition for Jharkhand Movement Activists

During the programme, activists of the Jharkhand movement were honoured for their invaluable contributions in shaping the identity and pride of the state. Their sacrifices were acknowledged as a cornerstone of Jharkhand’s journey over the last 25 years.

Dignitaries Attend; Asset Distribution to Beneficiaries

The event witnessed the presence of MLA Saryu Roy, Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi, Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi, SSP Piyush Pandey, Deputy Development Commissioner and several district-level officials from welfare, social security and health departments.

Beneficiaries from various government schemes received assets and sanction letters.

The Social Security Department distributed assistance to Divyang beneficiaries, pension holders and e-tricycle recipients.

The Social Welfare Department extended support under Widow Remarriage Incentive, Kishori Samridhi and Kanyadaan schemes.

The Welfare Department provided sewing machines and forest land pattas to eligible women.

The Health Department honoured Sahiyas, ANMs, CHOs and doctors for outstanding service

Leaders Highlight Vision of Inclusive Development

MLA Saryu Roy said that the ideology of Bhagwan Birsa Munda inspires society to work with dedication towards social justice.

MLA Mangal Kalindi emphasised that the sacrifices of Jharkhand’s great leaders have strengthened the state’s cultural identity.

Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi reiterated the administration’s commitment to ensuring that welfare schemes reach every household.
