Descendants of Bhagwan Birsa Munda Honoured in Gujarat

Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays tribute to the legendary tribal icon on his 150th birth anniversary

Narmada, Gujarat:

On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Tribal Pride Day, a grand programme was organised today in Narmada, Gujarat. Invited as special guests by the Government of Gujarat, the descendants of Bhagwan Birsa Munda — Shri Budhram Munda and Shri Ravi Munda — attended the ceremony.

During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi honoured both guests on stage, paying tribute to the extraordinary legacy of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The honouring of his descendants symbolised national recognition of the sacrifices and contributions made by the revered tribal leader, widely known as Dharti Aaba.

The programme witnessed large-scale participation, celebrating tribal heritage, culture and the enduring inspiration of Birsa Munda’s life and struggle.
