Jharkhand/Dhanbad: A bridge on the road passing through Bhel Tand in the district was damaged due to heavy rain late Wednesday night. The collapse has disrupted the movement of people from 10 surrounding villages.
Local villager Vinod Paswan said that a portion of the bridge collapsed during heavy rain late Wednesday night. Since then, villagers have been facing significant difficulties commuting. Vinod said that even though two days have passed since the incident, no official has yet arrived to assess the situation.
The damage to the bridge has affected children's schooling and the villagers' daily activities. There are also difficulties transporting sick people to the hospital. On Friday, local villagers demanded the district administration repair the bridge and road as soon as possible so that traffic can return to normal.
Meanwhile, another local villager, Gautam Mandal, said that if the bridge is not repaired in time, the problem could worsen and a major accident could occur at any time. In view of this situation, the villagers have appealed to the district administration to take immediate action.
