A statue will be erected of Munda Krishna, who rejected the offer of a palace: Devendranath

Jharkhand/Ranchi: Khutkattidar Munda Krishna Kumar Singh, a resident of Bongadar Dulmi, under the Dulmi Panchayat of Sonahatu block, is remembered by the local residents for his honesty and unwavering dedication to the rights of the peasants. In his struggle to protect the peasants' land, he rejected an offer of a palace in Mumbai from an industrialist. To honor this example, a life-size statue of Munda Krishna Kumar Singh will soon be installed in Bongadar Dulmi, so that future generations can draw inspiration from his principles.

This announcement was made by Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha (JLKM) Vice President Devendranath Mahato on Monday while attending the funeral feast for Munda Krishna Kumar Singh. Paying tribute to the late Munda's photo, Devendranath said that in today's era, when people compromise public interests for personal gain, a personality like Munda Krishna Kumar proves that morality still lives on in the soil of Jharkhand. He protected the land of his tenants by rejecting a major industrialist's offer of a luxurious palace in Mumbai in exchange for Barenda Hill. This is his greatest honor and the true identity of Jharkhand.

On this occasion, Munda Krishna's sons, Aditya Singh Munda and Bholeeshwar Singh Munda, said, "Our father always supported justice and equality. Following his path will be our true tribute."

A two-minute silence was observed on the occasion, prayers were offered for the peace of Munda Krishna's soul, and everyone pledged to follow his ideals.

Present at the event were former Mukhiya Ramprasad Munda, Budheshwar Singh, Meena Devi, Santosh Munda, Bhanu Mahato, Manish Singh Munda, Vijay Tirkey, Naresh Munda, and several other public representatives from the area.
