Three pairs of new train services to connect Aizawl with national capital Delhi, Guwahati and Kolkata

Asam/Guwahati: Indian Railways (IR) will launch three new train services from Sairang station in Aizawl. These trains will further improve the rail connectivity of the capital of Mizoram with major cities of the country. CPRO of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) Kapinjal Kishore Sharma said that the first historic journey of all three trains will be on September 13, after which regular services will start from the scheduled dates. The trains will be formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Through this, the state of Mizoram will also be fully connected to the rest of India through Indian Railways.

Inauguration of new trains and regular services

Train number 02507 (Sairang- Anand Vihar Terminal) Inaugural Rajdhani Express will leave Sairang station on September 13 (Saturday) at 10:00 and will reach Anand Vihar Terminal on September 15 (Monday) at 7:30. After this, from September 19, regular services of train number 20507 (Sairang- Anand Vihar Terminal) Rajdhani Express will leave from Sairang every Friday at 16:30 and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 10:50 on Sunday. Similarly, from September 21, train number 20508 (Anand Vihar Terminal- Sairang) Rajdhani Express will leave from Anand Vihar Terminal every Sunday at 19:50 and reach Sairang at 15:15 on Tuesday. This train will run via Badarpur Junction, Guwahati, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town, Bhagalpur.

Train number 05609 (Bairbi - Sairang) Special will leave from Bairabi on September 13 at 10:00 and reach Sairang at 11:15. Thereafter, it will depart from Sairang as its inaugural train no. 05610 (Sairang- Guwahati) Special at 12:30 hrs and reach Guwahati at 02:30 hrs the next day. Thereafter, from 13th September, regular services of train no. 15609 (Guwahati- Sairang) Express will depart from Guwahati at 19:00 hrs daily and reach Sairang at 08:30 hrs the next day. Similarly, from 14th September, train no. 15610 (Sairang- Guwahati) Express will depart from Sairang at 19:00 hrs daily and reach Guwahati at 08:30 hrs the next day.

The maiden journey of train no. 03126 Express will commence on 13th September at 10:00 hrs and reach Kolkata at 17:00 hrs the next day. Thereafter, from September 16, regular services of train no. 13125 (Kolkata- Sairang) tri-weekly express will start from Kolkata every Saturday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 12:25 hrs and reach Sairang at 19:45 hrs the next day.

Similarly, from September 18, train no. 13126 (Sairang-Kolkata) tri-weekly express will depart from Sairang every Monday, Thursday and Friday at 07:15 hrs and reach Kolkata the next day at 14:30 hrs. This train will reach its destination via Badarpur Junction, Guwahati, Goalpara Town, Golakganj, New Jalpaiguri, Malda Town.
