Operation Muskaan 2.0: Ranchi Police Return 111 Recovered Mobile Phones to Their Owners
Ranchi, August 25, 2026: Ranchi Police has achieved a major success under Operation Muskaan 2.0, recovering 111 mobile phones that were reported lost or stolen from different police station areas across Ranchi district.
The operation was conducted under the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Police, Ranchi. The Mobile Recovery Cell, CEIR Portal, Technical Cell and concerned police stations worked together to trace and recover the missing mobile phones through technical analysis and investigation.
With the help of technical tools, police identified the current users of the mobile phones and took necessary action to recover the devices.
A mobile distribution ceremony was organised on August 25, 2026, at the New Police Centre, Ranchi, where the recovered phones were handed over to their rightful owners.
During the ceremony, the Superintendents of Police (City), Rural and Traffic, Ranchi, formally handed over the recovered mobile phones to the respective owners.
After receiving their phones back, citizens expressed happiness and satisfaction. Many had been waiting for a long time to recover their valuable devices.
Senior police officials, officers and personnel of the Mobile Recovery Cell and Technical Branch, along with police personnel from the concerned police stations, were present on the occasion.
The initiative reflects Ranchi Police’s continued efforts to use technology and coordinated investigation to recover lost and stolen mobile phones and provide relief to citizens.
