Pilgrimage: Special train for senior citizens will leave on 14th

Rajasthan/Jodhpur : Under the Senior Citizen Pilgrimage Scheme 2025, run by the Devasthan Department of the Rajasthan Government, a special train will leave from Bhagat Ki Kothi Railway Station on September 14 at 12.30 pm. This train will depart for the holy pilgrimage sites Haridwar, Rishikesh, Ayodhya, Varanasi and Sarnath, stopping for selected passengers at Pali and Jawai Dam railway stations.

Assistant Commissioner of Devasthan Department Omprakash Paliwal said that a total of 676 passengers, including 350 senior citizens from Jodhpur district, 100 from Pali district and 226 from Jawai Dam, will participate in this journey, information of which has been provided by telephone. To undertake the above journey, he has asked the passengers to report with documents at Jawai Dam railway station at seven in the morning, at Pali railway station at eight and at Bhagat Ki Kothi railway station in Jodhpur at ten in the morning.

During the journey, a train in-charge will be there to take care of the health of the passengers, two government employee escorts in each coach, a doctor and two nursing staff will be there for medical treatment, who will take care of them. This journey is completely free of cost by the Devasthan Department, Government of Rajasthan.
