Jharkhand/Khunti: Under the aegis of Birsa College, the Ranchi University Inter-College Pistol Rifle Trials were held at the Khunti Rifle Shooting Club on Tuesday. Shooters from St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, Birsa College, Khunti, Gossner College, Ranchi, BS College, Lohardaga, Women's College, Ranchi, and SS Memorial College, Ranchi participated.
In the men's rifle competition, first place went to Rishu Kumar Mahato of St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, while second place went to Lal Rohit Nath Shahdev of Birsa College, Khunti, and third place went to Akash Khalkho of BS College, Lohardaga.
In the women's rifle shooting competition, Anushka Kachhap of St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, won first place. Pushpanjali Sharma of Ranchi Women's College, Ranchi, and Kshama Nag of St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, won second place.
Also, in the pistol men's category, Prayatna Sarvottam Lakra, St. Xavier's College, Ranchi, secured first place, Kavi Raj SS Memorial College, Ranchi, second place, and Rupesh Kumar, Birsa College, Khunti.
The college's acting principal, Dr. CK Bhagat, and organizing secretary, Raj Kumar Gupta, contributed to the success of this event. The organizing secretary thanked Khunti Rifle Club's secretary and coach, Anuj Kumar, for his cooperation and successful conduct. He said that today the Rifle Shooting Club in Khunti has gained a new identity.
