Petrol Pump Association will start 'No Helmet No Petrol' campaign from September 1

Memorandum submitted to Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw

Raipur: Raipur Petrol Pump Association, the capital of Chhattisgarh, is going to start the campaign of "No Helmet No Petrol" in the district by coming forward on its own for the safety of common citizens. The delegation led by the President of the Association, Akhil Dhagat, submitted a memorandum to Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw and Collector Dr. Gaurav Singh on Friday.

Dhagat said that for the last several days in Raipur, very sad news of people being seriously injured and in some cases death in road accidents is coming to the fore. It is worth noting in these incidents that most of the two-wheeler drivers were not wearing helmets, due to which they suffered head injuries in the accident.

Dhagat said that in view of this, it has been decided in the meeting of the association to run a "No Helmet No Petrol" campaign in social interest. This campaign will be started from September 1. Under the campaign, only those drivers who wear helmets will be given petrol at the pump. Dhagat has requested the government and administration for cooperation in this social work in public interest.
