Godda: A mock drill was organized on Wednesday in the Adani Power Plant premises as per the instructions of the Central Government and the District Administration. The mock drill started at 4 pm and lasted till 4:25 pm. All the employees and officers of Adani Power actively participated in this exercise. The mock drill was conducted in three phases, the purpose of which was to give quick and safe response in case of emergency.
In the first phase, the employees were alerted by sounding the siren and they were taken to a safe place. In the second phase, the control of fire was demonstrated through a hypothetical incident of fire. Along with this, the employees injured in the blasts were taken to the medical center for first aid and practice was done to get complete control over the fire.
In the third and final phase, the seriously injured people were taken to the nearest hospital with the help of ambulance. During this, a live demonstration of security and relief operations was done. Mahavir Pandit, in-charge of local Motiya OP and other members of his team were also present on the spot.
