Ranchi, September 14, 2026: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Jharkhand has seen a significant number of applications under various categories. According to the latest SIR Bulletin issued by the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Jharkhand, a total of 4,70,542 applications have been received through Form-6.
Of these, 16,224 Form-6 applications were received on September 13 alone. Form-6 is used by eligible citizens for inclusion of their names in the electoral roll.
As per the bulletin, 84 applications have been received through Form-6A, including three applications received on September 13.
Meanwhile, 5,576 Form-7 applications/objections have been received, with 99 submitted on September 13. Form-7 is used for raising objections and seeking deletion of names from the electoral roll.
The highest number of applications after Form-6 has been received through Form-8, with 2,98,871 applications. As many as 12,899 Form-8 applications were received on September 13. Form-8 is used for correction or updating details in the electoral roll.

The Chief Electoral Officer's office has urged eligible citizens to complete the required process within the stipulated deadline, as the claims and objections period will close on September 15.
