Ranchi: Jyoti Kumari, contesting the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) election from Serial No. 19, has outlined key priorities for traders and the industrial sector.
Kumari said that if elected, her first priority would be to work with her team on the problems faced by traders at the Market Yard. She also plans to take up civic issues affecting the Upper Bazaar area, particularly those related to the Municipal Corporation.
Highlighting concerns in the industrial sector, she said several operational problems affect productivity. She would work towards identifying these issues and coordinate with the government to find practical solutions.
Jyoti Kumari is associated with A B Beverage (Manufacturing), A B Biomedical (Trading) and A B Groups (Banquet and Pump). She holds an MBA in Sales & Marketing as well as an LL.B.
Active Role in FJCCI
Kumari said she worked in various FJCCI sub-committees from 2017 to 2022 and was actively involved in initiatives of the Renewable Energy Subcommittee. Since 2022, she has also participated in the chamber elections.
For three years, she handled approval and NOC-related responsibilities for the Trade Fair. She also worked on bringing government department stalls to the fair, which helped generate significant funds. According to her, government departments participated with stalls in the fair for the first time in 2023, and the initiative continued thereafter.
She was also associated with the “Coffee at Chamber” initiative, a platform that enabled traders to directly interact with senior government officials and put forward their concerns in one-to-one meetings. She described the initiative as highly successful.
Kumari also highlighted the initiative to document the journeys and contributions of former FJCCI presidents. She said their experiences, struggles and achievements are an important asset and legacy for the chamber.
Recognition as a Woman Entrepreneur
Kumari said she completed two years of examinations and assignments under TiE Global, after which she was recognised among the Top 3 Women Entrepreneurs in India. A total of 575 women entrepreneurs from across the country participated in the process.
She is also a member of Laghu Udyog Bharati and Van Bandhu Parishad.
Kumari said her objective is to raise the concerns of traders and entrepreneurs effectively before the appropriate platforms and work in coordination with the government for their resolution.
