Jamshedpur, September 26, 2026: The Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries has expressed concern over the recent incidents of violence in Jamshedpur and urged the DGP to take necessary action against criminals.
The Chamber said that after the robbery at Canara Bank and the firing incident near Bindal Mall, fear has spread among the business community and the general public.
Chamber President Tulsi Patel said Jamshedpur is a major industrial and commercial centre of Jharkhand and that a strong law-and-order system is essential for businesses, entrepreneurs and citizens to carry out their activities safely.
Patel urged the police administration to ensure the early identification and arrest of those involved in the incidents, conduct a detailed investigation and strengthen security arrangements and police patrolling in sensitive and busy commercial areas.
With the festive season beginning, the Chamber also stressed the need for increased security. A meeting was held at the Chamber Bhawan, where business representatives called for regular reviews of security arrangements at commercial establishments, banks, markets and major business areas.
The members also urged the district police administration to coordinate with business organisations, identify sensitive areas and ensure effective security arrangements.
Chamber President Tulsi Patel, Vice Presidents Vikas Vijayvargiya and Rohit Poddar, General Secretary Rohit Agrawal, Joint Secretary Amit Sharma, along with members Alok Singh, Amit Modi, Santosh Agrawal and others attended the meeting.
