Ranchi: Jharkhand BJP will celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday on September 17 as a grand public event and organize a month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from September 17 to October 17, 2026.
Jharkhand BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu announced the programme during a press conference at the party’s state office in Ranchi. He said the campaign will also mark Prime Minister Modi completing 25 years of public service on October 7, 2026.
‘A Blessing Lamp Will Be Lit in Every Home’
Sahu said that on September 17, lamps seeking blessings for the Prime Minister’s long life and good health will be lit at the doors of homes and temples across the state.
He said one village in every organizational mandal will be decorated, with lamps being lit at every household. The Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) will also organize blood donation camps on the Prime Minister’s birthday.
Series of Service-Oriented Programmes
According to Sahu, several programmes will be organized during the month-long campaign, including Chitra Seva, Seva Smaran, Aangan Milan Seva, Kahani Badlav Ki, Seva Jyoti Yatra, Badnagar-to-Varanasi Seva Yatra, Seva Mera Yogdan, Seva Setu Abhiyan, Jansevak Mahakumbh—Panchayat to Parliament, Seva Ke Rang Rashtra Ke Sang, Hackathon and Innovation Challenge and 25 Saal, 25 Kahaniyan.
Under ‘Seva Ke Rang’, rangolis will be created at various locations. Under ‘25 Saal, 25 Kahaniyan’, party workers will write 25 stories highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s 25 years of public service and social work.
Sahu said the ultimate objective of these programmes is to take forward the resolve of building a developed India by 2047, in line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision.
‘Modi Has Served the Country for 25 Years Without Rest’
Sahu described the BJP workers as fortunate to be working under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. He said Modi has been serving citizens for the past 25 years “without getting tired and without stopping.”
He said Modi’s experiences of poverty and hardship have shaped his approach towards welfare schemes for the poor, workers, farmers and deprived sections of society.
Sahu claimed that several welfare schemes introduced after 2014 have brought significant changes, particularly for the poor, farmers, labourers and marginalized sections. He also highlighted schemes such as free foodgrain distribution and Ayushman Bharat.
‘India Has Become Stronger and More Respected’
Sahu said India’s stature and respect have increased globally and claimed that the country has become stronger and more united since 2014.
Referring to Modi’s tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister, Sahu recalled the Gujarat earthquake and said Modi had taken the reconstruction of the state as a challenge and helped it recover.
He further claimed that the country has become safer under Modi’s leadership and highlighted the government’s approach based on “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas.”
State BJP General Secretary Manoj Singh and Media In-charge Yogendra Pratap Singh were also present at the press conference.
