Doctors Honored in Ranchi on National Doctors' Day; Service and Dedication Saluted
Ranchi, July 1: A dignified felicitation ceremony was organized on Wednesday at the Civil Surgeon's office auditorium in Ranchi to mark National Doctors' Day. On this occasion, doctors from the district were honored with certificates of appreciation for their invaluable contribution to safeguarding public health, and their dedication and service to the people were highly commended.
Presiding over the event, Civil Surgeon Dr. Prabhat Kumar stated that National Doctors' Day is celebrated in India every year on July 1st to commemorate the birth and death anniversary of the great physician, eminent educationist, and former Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy. He remarked that Dr. Roy's life stands as an exemplary model of service, dedication, and humanity, serving as an inspiration to all doctors.
He noted that doctors do not merely treat illnesses; they play a pivotal role in ensuring people lead healthy, safe, and better lives. Whether during pandemics, disasters, accidents, or any health emergency, doctors provide continuous service without regard for their own personal comfort. Their dedication serves as an inspiration to society.
Dr. Prabhat Kumar urged all doctors to discharge their duties with sensitivity towards patients, a spirit of service, and ethical values, and to strive continuously to provide quality and accessible healthcare services.
On this occasion, Dr. Bimlesh Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Sadar Hospital, praised the doctors' contributions and extended his best wishes for their good health, bright futures, and continued service to the public.
The event was attended by several doctors and health workers from the district, including DRCHO Dr. Asim Kumar Majhi, DTO Dr. S.K. Baski, DMO Dr. S.K. Sabri, Dr. A.V.K. Bakhla, Dr. R.K. Jaiswal, Dr. R.K. Singh, and District Program Manager Praveen Singh.
