SSP Takes a Tough Stance on Crime Control and Law & Order; Issues Key Directives to Station In-charges

Ranchi: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Ranchi held a crucial meeting at the police office on Tuesday to review crime control, law and order, and traffic management. The meeting was attended by the City, Rural, and Traffic Superintendents of Police, along with all DSPs, station in-charges, and traffic police officers.

During the meeting, the SSP instructed police officers to establish better communication with the general public and strengthen police-public relations. He also directed them to keep a constant watch on the activities of criminals, anti-social elements, and offenders released from jail.

The SSP ordered the speedy disposal of pending cases, the acceleration of character and passport verification processes, and the prompt resolution of cases involving lost mobile phones and bags. He called for special campaigns to curb incidents such as chain snatching, illegal possession of weapons, drug trafficking, theft, and burglary.

Emphasis was also placed on making night patrols more effective, regularly reviewing POCSO cases, and ensuring the quick recovery of missing children and individuals. Additionally, instructions were issued to expedite pending warrants, attachment and confiscation proceedings, and other court-related procedures.

The SSP clearly stated that crime control, maintaining law and order, and ensuring public safety are the police's top priorities. All police officers were directed to discharge their duties with a sense of responsibility, sensitivity, and accountability.
