Politics Heats Up Over Arrest of BJP Leader Rajiv Ranjan Mishra; State President Aditya Sahu Calls It a ‘Conspiracy’

Ranchi: On Tuesday, Aditya Sahu visited the residence of BJP leader and senior social worker Rajiv Ranjan Mishra—located near Bara Talab in Ranchi—to meet with his family members and gather details regarding the entire incident. During his visit, he leveled serious allegations against the state government and the administration, stating that Rajiv Ranjan Mishra has maintained an unblemished public record throughout his life and that the entire episode reeks of a “larger conspiracy.”

The State President asserted that an arrest made without an impartial investigation demonstrates that the administration in Jharkhand is operating at the behest of the ruling powers. He alleged that the government led by Hemant Soren is misusing the administration to stifle the voice of the opposition and to intimidate BJP workers.

Aditya Sahu noted that Rajiv Ranjan Mishra has long been associated with social work and public service. In the state capital, Ranchi, he is always at the forefront to assist people during any event related to social causes or public welfare. Targeting such an individual out of political malice is unfortunate.

He argued that if an individual visits a specific location upon someone's invitation and subsequently encounters criminal elements present there, it is unjust to portray them as a criminal based solely on suspicion. He further pointed out that, according to media reports, certain items were recovered from the crime scene, yet the main accused could not be apprehended. Despite this, action was taken against Rajiv Ranjan Mishra and his son, resulting in their incarceration.

Demanding an impartial and thorough investigation into the entire matter, the BJP State President stated that the truth must come to light so that the facts can be clearly distinguished from fiction. He called upon the government to immediately release Rajiv Ranjan Mishra and to withdraw the allegedly malicious actions taken against him.

Present on the occasion were State General Secretaries Ganesh Mishra, Ashok Baraik, Rakesh Bhaskar, Prem Mittal, and Arun Jha, along with numerous other BJP workers.
