New Platform for Sporting Talent in Lohardaga: Indoor Badminton Stadium to Open in June
Lohardaga: A meeting of the District Sports Steering Committee was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Kumar Meena to review the progress of the new indoor badminton stadium, which has been constructed within the old multi-purpose building located in the Municipal Council area. During the meeting, officials were directed to open the stadium to the general public and athletes starting in June.
Decisions regarding the membership process for the indoor badminton stadium were also taken during the meeting. Annual registration fees and monthly subscription charges for players and members were finalized. Furthermore, instructions were issued to collect regular fees—to be deposited into a designated bank account—to ensure the smooth management of the stadium's cleanliness, maintenance, and other facilities.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officials to ensure prompt action on other essential matters related to the stadium's operations, with the aim of providing superior sporting facilities to the athletes of the district.
Those present at the meeting included Deputy Development Commissioner Sushma Neelam Soreng, District Sports Officer Upvan Bara, District Nazir Deputy Collector Abhineet Suraj, District Education Officer Das Sunanda Chandramouleshwar, Municipal Council Administrator Mukti Kido, engineers from the Building Division, and other officials.
