Ranchi. On December 25, 2025: Representatives from the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI), including President Aditya Malhotra, met with Agriculture Minister Smt. Shilpi Neha Tirkey.
Key Highlights:
* Export Challenge: The Chamber highlighted the issue that farmers are unable to directly export their produce, especially vegetables, due to the lack of a DGFT office and a dedicated Export Promotion Council in the state. This is causing local farmers to lose out on potential profits as other states export their goods.
* Minister's Assurance: The Agriculture Minister took serious note of the issue and assured that necessary initiatives would be taken in this direction.
* Joint Action: A consensus was reached on joint efforts between the Agriculture Department and the Chamber to study successful agricultural and export models from other states, with the goal of developing effective Model Agricultural Markets (Mandis) in Jharkhand.
The Minister reaffirmed her commitment to the upliftment of agriculture and farmers in the state.
