(Ranchi): Action taken on both sides of the road from Coalfield Gate to Hanuman Mandir Bridge; goods confiscated, strict warning issued to encroachers.
The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has intensified its efforts to make the city encroachment-free, congestion-free, and well-organized. As part of this drive, the RMC Enforcement Team conducted a major anti-encroachment campaign in the Samlong area today, December 24, 2025.
🚫 Action Taken to Combat Traffic Congestion
The action was specifically targeted at removing illegal structures built on both sides of the road, stretching from the Samlong Coalfield Gate up to the bridge ahead of the Hanuman Mandir.
* Objective: The RMC took this action seriously due to the continuous traffic disruptions in the area, aiming to ensure smooth traffic flow and prevent inconvenience to the general public.
* Demolition/Confiscation: During the drive, approximately 40 temporary structures were removed. Additionally, items like two iron counters, bamboo sticks, benches, and other illegally placed goods were confiscated.
📢 Action Will Continue in the Future: Municipal Corporation
The Ranchi Municipal Corporation issued a strict warning to all encroachers, stating that setting up shops or any other type of encroachment at the said location will not be tolerated in the future.
The corporation clearly stated that such actions against encroachments that obstruct traffic flow and public amenities in the city will continue relentlessly.
