Hemant Government Depriving SC Society of Their Rights: Amar Kumar Bauri

📢 Hemant Government Depriving SC Society of Their Rights: Amar Kumar Bauri

Ranchi: Former Leader of Opposition and BJP leader Amar Kumar Bauri launched a sharp attack on the Hemant Soren government at the state BJP office, alleging that the government is depriving the Scheduled Caste (SC) society of their rights and constitutional privileges. He accused the government of betrayal by reducing the SC quota in the upcoming urban local body elections.

Reduction of SC Quota in Municipal Elections Under Fire

Amar Kumar Bauri specifically criticized the government's decision regarding reservation in municipal elections, stating that allocating only 2 seats for the SC community in the Ranchi Municipal Corporation is a gross injustice to the entire SC population.

> "By reducing the SC quota in the municipal elections, the Hemant government has betrayed the SC society. Around 50 lakh SC population in Jharkhand is being denied their rights and entitlements."

Amar Kumar Bauri, Former Leader of Opposition

Key Allegations:

 * He alleged that the government is trying to suppress one particular community for political reasons and is implementing different rules in different municipal corporations.

 * Bauri also raised concerns about the implementation of OBC reservation, claiming it was done hastily based on voter lists without proper door-to-door inspection, resulting in injustice to the OBC community as well.

Neglect of SC Community and Failure to Form Constitutional Commissions

Bauri pointed out the neglect of the SC community in government schemes. He cited evidence that a serving Minister of the government had personally written to the administration urging improvements in the SC situation, which, he stated, proves the gravity of the situation.

 * Education Neglected: Demands to send SC children abroad for higher education have long been pending, but no concrete steps have been taken.

 * No Trace in Schemes: He alleged that the SC community finds no mention or benefit in many government schemes.

He further accused the government of violating constitutional norms by failing to constitute crucial commissions like the Child Commission, Women's Commission, SC Commission, and Information Commissioner.

Demand for Transparency and Threat of Agitation

Amar Kumar Bauri charged that the government is preparing for elections in haste under pressure from the court, and by minimizing the participation of the Dalit community, it is disrespecting the Constitution of Baba Saheb Ambedkar.

He demanded that the Hemant Soren government ensure complete transparency in the municipal elections so that all sections of society get justice. He warned that if the government fails to address its shortcomings, the Dalit community will be compelled to agitate under the constitutional laws of Baba Saheb Ambedkar, as they are constantly forced to approach the judiciary for their rights.

BJP State Media Co-Incharge Ashok Barai and BJP SC Morcha IT Cell Incharge Govinda Valmiki were also present at the press conference.
