Lohardaga, December 24, 2025: Dr. Tarachand, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Lohardaga, chaired a crucial meeting of the District Health Committee today in the Collectorate auditorium. While reviewing the Health Department, the DC emphasized ensuring 100% institutional deliveries and stated that home deliveries must be prevented under all circumstances.

* 100% Institutional Delivery: The DC strictly directed that institutional deliveries in the district must reach 100%. Regular monitoring and recording of deliveries conducted outside the district should also be maintained.
* Special Focus on ANC: DC Dr. Tarachand instructed officials to coordinate with local public representatives and active community members in rural areas to ensure 100% Antenatal Care (ANC) for pregnant women, ensuring no woman is left out.
* Immunization and Awareness: Ensure that children are immunized on time, and regular camps are organized to raise awareness among the public.
* Malnutrition Treatment Centre (MTC): The DC directed that malnourished patients be identified and brought to the centre on time. He stressed the need for regular monitoring of their diet, hygiene, and other facilities there.
*Special Monitoring of Anaemic Women: Instructions were given for the special monitoring of anaemic women identified under ANC, along with providing them with timely iron tablets and information about blood-boosting diets as needed.
* Inform Patients of Benefits: Doctors in charge of all Community Health Centres (CHCs) were instructed to inform patients and the public about the facilities and benefits provided by the Health Department. The DC also urged Medical Officers In Charge (MOICs) to encourage patients to get admitted to health centres if required.

The meeting also included detailed discussions on other health issues like TB, Leprosy, and Malaria, with specific instructions given to concerned officials.
The meeting was attended by District Civil Surgeon Raju Kachhap, doctors in charge of all Community Health Centres, and other officials and staff of the Health Department.
