📰 Controversy Deepens in Ranchi Over Alleged Remarks on Guru Dronacharya; Follow-up Application Submitted to City SP

Ranchi: The controversy surrounding the alleged objectionable remarks made by Jyotsna Kerketta regarding Guru Dronacharya during a conclave organized by the Follow Up News Channel on December 10, 2025, continues to deepen. A lack of concrete action in this matter has led to widespread anger among social organizations and those associated with Sanatan Dharma.

Dissatisfaction Over Failure to Register FIR

Advocate Jyoti Anand and social worker Kumud Jha had initially submitted a written application to the Ranchi Cyber Police Station on December 13, 2025, demanding the registration of an FIR, stating that the remarks hurt the sentiments of Sanatan Dharma and Hindu faith.

Dissatisfaction grew among the aggrieved parties as, despite the application, no FIR was registered and no legal action was taken.

Follow-up Application to City SP

Following this, Advocate Jyoti Anand and Kumud Jha, with the support of several social, religious, and public organizations, reached the Ranchi City SP's office today and submitted a Follow-up Application (Anusmarak Avedan).

They stated clearly that if prompt action is not taken in this serious matter, they would be compelled to submit applications to other senior administrative officials, the Director General of Police, and concerned departments of the State Government.

"Harms Social Harmony"

Advocate Jyoti Anand and social worker Kumud Jha issued a statement:

"Objectionable comments made against a revered figure like Guru Dronacharya from a public platform not only hurt religious sentiments but also harm social harmony. Strict action against the culprit under the law is necessary."

They demanded the immediate arrest of Jyotsna Kerketta from the administration, arguing that the case involves cybercrime, inciting religious sentiments, and making derogatory remarks from a public platform, which requires prompt cognizance.

Warning of Agitation

Representatives of the present organizations, along with Advocate Jyoti Anand, Kumud Jha, Anup Kumar, Sunil Sahu, Ashok Mishra, social workers Renuka Singh, Rana Singh, Archana Mirda, Mohammad Imran, and Reshmi Tirkey, were among those present. All unanimously demanded action and warned that if the administration remains inactive, agitational steps would be taken.

Currently, no official statement has been released by the police administration regarding the entire matter, but amid the growing pressure, action is expected in this episode in the coming days.
