Ranchi: In connection with the fatal attack on Shambhu Munda at Rajadera, Gangon, under the Tamar Police Station area, the police have acted swiftly and arrested three accused, including the main shooter। The incident is linked to a land grabbing dispute।
Details of the Case:
* Incident: On October 16, 2025, Shambhu Munda was shot with an illegal weapon with the intention of killing him, causing him serious injury।
* Case Registered: Tamar Police Station registered Case No. 114/2025 on October 17, 2025, under Sections 109/118(2)/3(5) BNS & 27 Arms Act।
* Root of Conflict: Investigation revealed that Shambhu Munda's father-in-law had leased 50 decimal of land to Sanjay Machhuwa for five years to run a hotel at Dwarsini Chowk। Sanjay Machhuwa was trying to sell the land by creating forged documents with the intention of grabbing it। Shambhu Munda was actively opposing this sale।
* Conspiracy: The land was being sold for a deal of ₹35 lakh। Due to Shambhu Munda's opposition to the buyer's attempt to take possession, Sanjay Machhuwa was provided a country-made pistol (desi katta) by Afsar Alam alias Chhotu alias Langda।
* Day of Attack: On October 16, 2025, Sonu Khan, Raman Pratap Bagti, and Sanjay Machhuwa reached Shambhu Munda's house with the intention of killing him, where Sanjay Machhuwa fired the shot, critically injuring him।
Arrested Accused and Recovered Items
Police had previously arrested primary accused Md. Sonu alias Shahid Ansari and sent him to judicial custody on October 28, 2025।
All key accused involved in the incident have now been arrested, and the weapon used in the crime has been lawfully recovered।

The raiding team included Police Sub-Inspector Praveen Kumar (Tamar Police Station Incharge), Police Sub-Inspector Shambhu Pandit, Assistant Sub-Inspector Ajay Pratap, Assistant Sub-Inspector Cyril Sanga, and armed forces of Tamar Police Station।
