Plastic Product and Recycling Sub-Committee Meeting

Jharkhand/Ranchi: A meeting of the Plastic Product and Recycling Sub-Committee of the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI) was held today at the Chamber Bhawan. The discussion centered around promoting the plastic industry in the state and exploring the possibilities of reusing waste plastic through effective recycling mechanisms.

Members opined that if the state government facilitates land, electricity, water, and necessary approvals through a single-window system for entrepreneurs interested in setting up recycling plants, it will significantly boost investment in this sector.

It was also suggested that the plastic recycling industry be granted tax-free status for the first five years, enabling Jharkhand to take a major step toward self-reliance in the effective reuse of waste plastic.

FJCCI Vice President Ram Bangad stated that promoting the plastic recycling industry would not only contribute to environmental protection but also generate employment opportunities. With government support, Jharkhand could emerge as a leader in plastic waste management and establish a distinct identity in the field of green industries.

The meeting was attended by FJCCI General Secretary Rohit Agrawal, Joint Secretary Navjot Alang, Sub-Committee Chairman Kunal Vijayvargiya, and members Sunil Gupta, Sanjay Singh, Ankita Verma, Ahmad Ali, Rajeev, and Sunil Poddar.
