Not Just Citizens, Municipality Also Dumps Garbage on Roads
Laxmi Nagar Road Turns Into Dumping Zone, Stench Troubles Commuters and Locals
📍 Ranchi | Report
Passing through Laxmi Nagar Road has become a nightmare. The foul smell is so strong that commuters rush through the stretch, and locals are forced to cover their noses. The situation resembles a dumping yard, despite the area being residential.
According to sources, garbage remains scattered here 24 hours a day. Shockingly, not only residents but municipal workers using trolleys are also seen dumping garbage directly on the road, raising serious questions about the functioning of the municipal system.
Crores Spent, Yet Garbage on Roads?
The municipal corporation has spent crores on purchasing new waste collection vehicles, and several old vehicles are also available. Despite this, dumping garbage on the streets by municipal workers exposes system failures and mismanagement.
As per regulations, the corporation must collect waste door-to-door, so dumping it on roads becomes highly questionable.
