
Late-Night Accident at Dhurwa Dam: Three Policemen Lose Their Lives
Three Police Personnel, Including Two Bodyguards of Jamshedpur Principal District Judge, Die After Vehicle Falls Into Dhurwa Dam

A tragic incident occurred in Ranchi on Saturday morning when the bodies of three police personnel were recovered from the Dhurwa Dam in the Nagri police station area. The deceased have been identified as two bodyguards of the Principal District Judge, Jamshedpur, and the government driver.
According to initial information, the two bodyguards and the driver were travelling late Friday night when their vehicle lost control and plunged into the Dhurwa Dam. All three died in the accident. The victims were identified as Upendra Kumar Singh, Robin Kujur and Satendra Singh.
Rescue Operation and Recovery
Local residents reported that a speeding vehicle suddenly fell into the dam late Friday night. On receiving the information, Dhurwa and Nagri police teams reached the spot.
After a two to three-hour rescue operation involving local residents, divers and police personnel, the submerged car was pulled out. Three bodies and two police weapons were recovered from inside the vehicle.
Hatia DSP Pramod Kumar Mishra said the accident occurred due to loss of control over the vehicle, resulting in the deaths of all three police personnel. The weapons and bodies of the bodyguards were recovered during the rescue operation.
Police Investigation Underway
Police have begun a detailed investigation into the incident. As per the information available so far, the three police personnel had left the Judicial Academy in Dhurwa in a Swift car and were heading towards the dam area when the accident took place.
The vehicle recovered from the dam is also being examined to determine the exact cause of the mishap.
