Jharkhand progressing strongly on the path of development and public welfare: Vinod Pandey

JMM terms AJSU’s allegations baseless and driven by political frustration

Ranchi, 13 November
The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha has dismissed the allegations made by the AJSU Party, calling them factually incorrect and a result of political frustration. JMM General Secretary and spokesperson Vinod Pandey said that those who once engaged in bargaining in the name of public movements are today lecturing on morality. He said the people of Jharkhand are well aware of who used the movement for political deals and who continued to uphold the spirit of struggle.

Pandey said the statements of AJSU leaders lack substance and reflect their disappointment. He stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the government has fulfilled the vision of placing governance directly in the hands of the people over the last six years. Significant achievements have been made in education, health, agriculture, women empowerment, employment and social security.

He added that during the rule of AJSU and the BJP, Jharkhand had turned into a hub for mining mafias and contractors, while villages and the poor remained neglected. The government led by JMM has turned the sentiment of Abua Dishum, Abua Raj into reality at the ground level.

Key achievements in development and public welfare

Vinod Pandey listed important accomplishments of the state government and said that the Hemant Soren administration has changed both the direction and condition of Jharkhand:

• Under the Mukhyamantri Maiyaan Samman Yojana, more than 45 lakh women receive monthly assistance of Rs 2500, helping them become self-reliant.
• The Sarvajan Pension Yojana has provided a dignified life to 36 lakh elderly, widowed and differently abled citizens.
• Abua Awas Yojana has enabled lakhs of poor families to receive housing, while Abua Swasthya Yojana has ensured free medical treatment.
• The Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda Scholarship and Guruji Student Credit Card schemes have opened doors of higher education for youth.
• The Jharkhand Kisan Samriddhi Yojana has increased farmers’ income.
• Har Ghar Nal Se Jal and rural road development have strengthened basic facilities in rural areas.
• Through Sakhi Mandal and JSLPS, more than two lakh rural women have been engaged in self-employment.
• The state’s forest cover has increased to 34.25 percent, above the national average.

Major initiatives in employment and transparency

The JMM spokesperson said the government has provided thousands of government jobs over the past four years. Schemes such as the Chief Minister Employment Generation Programme and Johar Yojana have given self-employment opportunities to lakhs of youth. He added that transparency and priority for local youths have remained central in all recruitment processes.

Pandey said the AJSU leadership must understand that people now judge governance by development, not promises. Today, Jharkhand’s poor receive pensions, farmers receive support, youth receive employment and women receive empowerment. This is the Sona Jharkhand envisioned by the JMM government.

He added that under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, the state government is committed to building a self-reliant, prosperous and dignified Jharkhand in the coming years. He said that no matter how much the opposition criticises, the people know that the soil of Jharkhand carries the fragrance of change — and that change is the Hemant government.
