JDU Leaders Pay Tribute on the 150th Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda
On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and the 25th Foundation Day of Jharkhand State, the Jharkhand unit of Janata Dal (United) organised a tribute ceremony at the samadhi site of Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Kokar, Ranchi. Senior party leader Dharmendra Tiwari and State General Secretary Ashish Sheetal Munda offered floral tributes and paid homage to the legendary freedom fighter and tribal icon.
Speaking on the occasion, senior leader Dharmendra Tiwari said that Bhagwan Birsa Munda symbolizes the identity, struggle, and pride of Jharkhand. He added that Birsa Munda dedicated his life to the protection of water–forest–land, social equality, and tribal rights. Tiwari affirmed that the Janata Dal (U) remains committed to the holistic and equitable development of Jharkhand by following his ideals.
State General Secretary Ashish Sheetal Munda said that the inspiring life and struggle of Birsa Munda continue to motivate the youth of the state. He said the way Birsa Munda united the weaker sections of society and fought against injustice still provides guidance today. He assured that the party will continue working on issues related to tribal rights, education, healthcare, and rural development.
