CCL Pays Tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on His 150th Birth Anniversary
The ceremony began with floral tributes offered at the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. Present on the occasion were Nilendu Kumar Singh, CMD, CCL; Pankaj Kumar, CVO, CCL; senior officials; Brijkishore Ram, Chairman of SC-ST Council; members of various trade unions; Heads of Departments; and General Managers.
Remembering Bhagwan Birsa Munda as the symbol of Jharkhand’s identity, tribal pride and a legendary freedom fighter, the CCL family paid homage and highlighted his role as the pioneer of the Ulgulan movement. His struggle, leadership and commitment to protecting water, forest and land were described as a timeless inspiration for Jharkhand and the entire nation.
The gathering echoed the slogan “Bhagwan Birsa Munda Amar Rahein” and reiterated their resolve to carry forward his values and ideals.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all guests and participants.
