The deceased's family and local residents protested at the Golmuri police station over the murder in the name of tantra vidya

Jharkhand/East Singhbhum: The murder of 20-year-old Ajay Basa, alias Jhantu, in the name of tantra vidya in the Golmuri police station area has sparked widespread outrage among locals. On Wednesday, the deceased's family and residents of the locality reached the police station and protested demanding justice. The protesters demanded the death penalty for the culprits and compensation for the victim's family.

Anger has spread in the area following the murder of 20-year-old Ajay Basa, alias Jhantu, from Garhbasa under the Golmuri police station.

Police arrested a tantric, Sandeep, and his associate, Bharat, on Monday night for Ajay's murder under the pretext of tantra vidya and sent them to jail on Tuesday. However, Sandeep's mother, brother-in-law, and sister were released from the police station after questioning.

On Wednesday, Ajay's family and a large number of local residents reached the Golmuri police station regarding the same matter and protested, raising slogans against the police administration. The protesters stated that this brutal murder, committed in the name of tantra-mantra, has shocked society. They appealed to the administration to take strict action in such cases so that no innocent person falls victim to such superstitious incidents in the future.

The mother of the deceased, Ajay, expressed her emotional sadness that her son was brutally murdered in the name of tantra. "Now that the support of the family is gone, how will we, mother and daughter, survive?" She demanded justice from the administration and the death penalty for the culprits.

Local residents also urged the administration to take strict action against crimes committed in the name of tantra-mantra and to provide immediate financial assistance to the victim's family. They warned that if justice is not served swiftly, they will be forced to launch a violent protest.
