Betla National Park opens to tourists with new rules

Jharkhand/Latehar: The famous Betla National Park opened to tourists on Sunday. Palamu Tiger Reserve Deputy Director Prajeshkant Jaina, Betla Ranger Umesh Kumar Dubey, and others performed a puja and cut the ribbon to welcome visitors into the park.

It should be noted that Betla Park is closed every year from July 1st to September 30th due to the breeding season of wild animals. The park is normally opened to tourists from October 1st. However, this year, due to continuous rainfall, the park reopened on October 5th.

It is reported that this time, keeping in mind the safety of tourists and the well-being of wildlife, the park management has completely banned entry by private closed vehicles. Now, tourists will only be able to visit the park in open safari vehicles with departmental approval. Traveling in open safari vehicles will not only allow tourists to see wild animals up close but also enjoy the natural beauty.

The entry fee to the park has also been increased. Tourists will now have to pay a total of ₹2,450. The park administration has prioritized tourist safety this year. CCTV cameras have been installed throughout the park and patrol teams have been deployed. All guides and drivers will be in uniform, and tourists are strictly prohibited from entering the forest or disturbing animals.
