Special train launched for the Haidernagar Devi Dham Shakti Peeth Fair

Jharkhand/Palamu: In view of the large crowd of devotees during the Sharadiya Navratri Fair held at the famous Haidernagar Devi Dham Shakti Peeth in Palamu district, the railway administration began operating a special fair train on Sunday. The train arrived at the Haidernagar railway station at the scheduled time of 1:30 pm.

It is noteworthy that the Jharkhand Rail Users Association had written a letter to the Divisional Railway Management and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on September 16, informing them of the situation. It was mentioned that "Millions of devotees from various states come to the Haidernagar Navratri fair every year for darshan and worship. During this time, the Haidernagar railway station is overcrowded, causing significant inconvenience to passengers. It is necessary to arrange for special and additional trains for the fair to facilitate the devotees."

The DDU Railway Division, taking cognizance of this demand, has started operating a new special train between Garhwa Road and Dehri on Sone. This train will run until October 2nd. Haidernagar Devi Dham Shakti Peeth, recognized by the state government as a state tourist destination, has hosted fairs during the Chaitra and Sharadiya Navratris since 1887. Devotees from across the country, including Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and West Bengal, come here for darshan and worship.
