According to the department, light to moderate rainfall is expected in various parts of the state until September 30th. During this period, strong winds with speeds of 30 to 40 kmph, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning are expected at many places. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for this.
It is noteworthy that a low-pressure area is persisting over northern Odisha and the adjoining northwestern Bay of Bengal and the Gangetic West Bengal region. This is causing heavy rainfall in various districts of Jharkhand.
During the last 24 hours, the highest temperature in the state was recorded at 34 degrees Celsius in Godda, and the lowest at 20.8 degrees Celsius in Latehar.

On Thursday, the maximum temperature in Ranchi was 29.6 degrees Celsius, Jamshedpur 28.4 degrees Celsius, Daltonganj 33.8 degrees Celsius, Bokaro 32.1 degrees Celsius, and Chaibasa 29 degrees Celsius.
