Changes in traffic arrangements for Durga Puja, entry of heavy vehicles prohibited

 

Jharkhand/Ranchi: Traffic arrangements have been changed in the capital Ranchi for Durga Puja. This change will be effective from September 27th to October 2nd. Traffic Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh issued an order in this regard on Wednesday. During this period, vehicular movement will be restricted on the city's main roads to avoid inconvenience to Durga Puja visitors. To avoid traffic jams during Durga Puja, heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering the city from 8:00 AM to 4:00 AM the next day. Only vehicles carrying essential goods will be allowed to enter and exit the city between 4:00 AM and 8:00 AM. By following these rules, you can enjoy Durga Puja without any hassle.

Drop gates have been installed at these locations to prevent heavy vehicles:

- Law University, Kanke. Bodeya Ring Road. BIT Ring Road. The route from Khelgaon to Kokar. The route from Durga Soren Chowk to Kantatoli and Makchand Toli. Rampur, Kharsidag, Bridgeford School, Satranji School, Birsa Chowk, and Shaheed Maidan.

Changes in traffic routes for private and passenger vehicles

- Main Road: Vehicles will be restricted from Kachari Chowk to Shaheed Chowk, Firayal Lal Chowk, and Sujata Chowk. Vehicles from Sujata Chowk will be allowed to proceed only to Sainik Market and the GEL Church Complex.

- Piska Mor to Ratu Road: Small vehicles from Piska Mor toward New Market (Ratu Road) will proceed via Meenakshi Cinema Mor, Pahadi Mandir, Kishoreganj Chowk, and then Harmu Chowk.

- Harmu to Kishoreganj/Ratu Road: Four-wheelers from Harmu toward Ratu Road via Kishoreganj will be allowed to proceed only to Kishoreganj Chowk. Two-wheelers will proceed from Kishoreganj to Piska Mor via Pahadi Mandir and Meenakshi Cinema Mor.

- Harmu Bypass Road: Small four-wheelers going to Piska Mor will pass near the BJP office, via Peepar Toli, and then through Kathal Mor and Hehal area.

- Vehicles coming from Kanke Road can go to Kachari Chowk via Zakir Hussain Park and Radium Road.

- Vehicles coming from Lalpur Chowk to Kachari Chowk will go only to the JPSC office.

- Vehicles going from Bariatu Road to Albert Ekka Chowk will go to Ramgarh Trekker Stop on Line Tank Road.

- Vehicles coming from Dangratoli Chowk towards Sarjana Chowk will be able to go only to Mission Chowk.

- Kokar to Lalpur: The route from Lalpur to Kokar will be one-way, while vehicles coming from Kokar to Lalpur will go via Kantatoli.

Parking arrangements at various locations

- Sainik Market and GEL Church Complex: For private and two-wheeler vehicles coming from Doranda and Sujata Chowk to Main Road.

- District School and Balkrishna School Campus: For devotees traveling from Firayal Lal to Bakri Bazaar.

- Mission Chowk: For vehicles traveling from Dangratoli to Sarjana Chowk.

- Railway Recruitment Board to Chutia Thana Mor: For those traveling to the pandal on Station Road.

- Sadhu Yadav Ground: For devotees traveling from Lalpur to Kokar.

- Ram Lakhan Yadav College: For devotees traveling from Khelgaon to Kokar pandal.

- Harmu Ground: For the pandal located near Harmu Chowk.

- Bariatu Ground: For the pandal near Bariatu Housing.

- Yogada Satsang Math and St. John School (Bahu Bazar): For the pandals located at Ranchi Railway Station.

- Next to Cambrian School: For the pandal near CMPD.

- Shaheed Ground: For the pandal located at the Old Vidhan Sabha Ground.

- New Market Auto Stand: For devotees traveling from Kanke Road to Bakri Bazaar.

- Bada Talab River Ground: For devotees traveling to Bakri Bazaar from Harmu Bypass Road.

- Durga Mandir Jaiswal Petrol Pump: For devotees traveling from Piska Mor to Durga Mandir Chowk, Ratu Road.

- Nagababa Khatal Parking and Zakir Hussain Park: For devotees traveling to Bakri Bazaar from Bariatu Road.

- Muktidham to Kishoreganj Roadside: For vehicles traveling from Harmu Bypass to Kishoreganj.
