Jharkhand/Ranchi: While hearing the contempt petition filed in Jharkhand High Court regarding local body elections, contempt notice has been issued against the Chief Secretary of the state Alka Tiwari, IAS officer Vandana Dadel of Indian Administrative Service and former Secretary of Urban Development Department Vinay Chaubey for not complying with the order.
Hearing on the contempt petition filed in Jharkhand High Court regarding local body elections was held on Wednesday. During this, the court has expressed strong displeasure over non-compliance of the order. Also, contempt notice has been issued against the Chief Secretary of the state Alka Tiwari, IAS officer Vandana Dadel and former Secretary of Urban Development Department Vinay Chaubey.
The High Court has fixed October 14 for detailed hearing of this matter. The High Court will frame charges against the said officers on the next date. The matter was heard in the court of Justice Anand Sen of the High Court.
Advocate Vinod Singh presented his case before the court on behalf of the applicant. In this regard, a contempt petition has been filed in the High Court on behalf of outgoing councilor Roshni Khalkho.
