Entertainment: Superstar Rajinikanth's much-awaited film 'Coolie' hit the theatres on the occasion of Independence Day and has been making a bang at the box office since the very first day of its release. Now the figures of the film's sixth day earnings have also come out, which are a testimony to its success.
According to the report of box office tracking portal Saccanilk, Rajinikanth's film 'Coolie' earned around Rs 9.50 crore on the sixth day of its release i.e. on the first Tuesday. With this, the total box office collection of the film has increased to Rs 216 crore. It is worth noting that the film had a great opening of Rs 65 crore on the first day itself. Made in a grand budget of about Rs 400 crore, this film is currently competing with a big film like 'War 2' at the box office.
'Coolie' is directed by famous filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, who is known for hit films like 'Leo' and 'Master'. This film brings together Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj for the first time. In this, Rajinikanth has played the powerful character of Deva. The tremendous action and style of Thalaiva is being liked by the audience and fans have once again become crazy about him.
