Minor girl was taken to Pune after putting sindoor in her maang and had physical relations, court found him guilty, punishment on June 16

 

Ranchi: Accused Pawan Lohara, who is facing trial in the case of luring a minor to Pune, Maharashtra and raping her on the pretext of marriage, has been convicted by the special court of POCSO case of Ranchi. Also, June 16 has been fixed for hearing on the point of his punishment. The accused is a resident of Angada police station area. The victim's father had lodged an FIR in Lalpur police station on April 2023 regarding the kidnapping incident.

   On the basis of the FIR registered, accused Pawan Lohara was arrested and sent to jail on June 14, 2023. It is alleged that after the examination, she had gone to tuition, there was a conversation between her and Pawan Lohara first and he came and put sindoor on her head and said that he would marry her, after which she went to Pune with him. She stayed with him for a month and physical relations were also established between them. She has said that after coming back, when she got her medical checkup done, she found out that she was pregnant. During the hearing in the case, six witnesses were presented by the prosecution.
